Headteachers Weekly Memo – 14th November 2025
Dear Parent/Carer
Behaviour
Teaching staff have identified the following students for demonstrating the behaviour for the week ‘Kindness’. This has been very much tied into ‘Anti-bullying week’ following Miss Stuart’s ‘Pay it Forward’ assembly.
Secret Students
A student is chosen anonymously and randomly at the start of each school day. The class teacher will then monitor the positive behaviour of the secret student throughout the day and that student is named if they have demonstrated our school values throughout the day.
The secret students who were celebrated in our celebration assembly this week were:
Reception – Riley, Adam and Amalia
Year 1/2 – Riley, Delilah and Skoll
Year 3/4 – Alannah, Stevie and Rubee
Year 5/6 – Thomas
Well done to you all for demonstrating good, positive behaviours.
An example of good work from Layla-Jo and Erica
Attendance Matters
As you all know students strive when they are in school. Reception were this weeks’ best attenders - Well done!

The sessions will be free of charge and will be run by Mr Greenwood and Miss Patel.
What’s on the menu?
To begin with, we’ll be serving toast to all children who attend.Year 6s will be working on Maths and/or English.
Details:
- Time: 8:10 AM – 8:40 AM
- Location: Y5/6 Classroom
Maths homework
Following on from the assessment week, the data shows that pupils across each year group need more support with Maths. In response to this, we have invested in MyMaths.
To support your child's Maths learning we have set them up on an interactive platform called MyMaths. This should help your child to structure their maths work and enable you to see how they are progressing. Coming home this evening, is a letter detailing their username and password. Please go to www.mymaths.co.uk and follow the instructions on your letter to help your child to log-in, initially using the school username and password where you will find games and activities on the dashboard which can be completed at any time. They will then need to log in to their portal and complete activities set for them by their teacher, this may be a lesson to watch and then a homework activity.
Year 6 Booster sessions
Year 6 students are invited to attend booster sessions for both English and Maths after school on Wednesday and Thursday from 3:30-4:30pm.
Nativity Play
The details of the nativity plan will be followed up in November’s lesson Newsletter. The dates are at the bottom of this memo.

Anti Bullying Week
There will be an assembly that follows on from the ‘Kindness’ assembly last week with a focus on ‘Paying it forward’. This is where we pay forward acts of kindness to promote friendship and positive sense of community. Children will engage in this year’s theme, ‘The Power of Good’, during PSHE lessons
Children in need 2025
We are hosting a bake sale on Friday 14th November to raise money for Children in Need.
Staff are challenging each other to sell as many of their cakes as they can in line with the theme of this year's event. The cakes will be sold at the gates or in the main hall in the event of poor weather.
Head Lice
While head lice are nothing more than a nuisance, it is important that children are checked on a weekly basis so that any head lice can be dealt with quickly and before they are allowed to spread too far. Follow the simple CHECK, TREAT, COMPLETE routine below to ensure you are doing your bit to keep head lice outbreaks to a minimum. If head lice are proving tricky to get rid of, please contact your pharmacist.
