At Sacred Heart, we promote a prompt and settled start to the school day.  Punctuality is extremely important for your child's learning. If they are late to school they will miss valuable learning time and may disrupt the other children by coming in late.

In the morning we encourage children to come into the classroom independently and staff supervision is provided for children from 8.40am.  Any parent bringing or sending their child to school before then remains liable for their safety.  The children are to come into school from 8.40-8.50am, where a member of the Senior Management Team and/or Pastoral Care Team will be on hand to speak to parents, take any messages or to support pupils.

A bell will ring at 8.50am, to signal the closing of the exterior doors and registration. If your child comes into school after the close of registration, they will be deemed late and the register will be marked accordingly. Any child arriving late should enter the school through the office to ensure that they are registered correctly and that they have ordered their school dinner where required.
