Admissions
We are delighted that you are interested in Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School. We are proud of our new and growing school and work hard to ensure we continue to develop high standards of pastoral care, attainment and achievements. Our pupils are offered a widening range of opportunities as the school continues to evolve.
We aim to ensure that our pupils reach their potential and grow into self assured and confident learners. As a Catholic school we work in partnership with children, parents, governors, staff, parish and the Diocese of East Anglia where each child is supported in love, faith and hope.
Choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child. We are here to help you through this process. On this page you will find out how to apply for a place at Sacred Heart.
If you are considering transferring your child from another school to Sacred Heart, please contact the school in the first instance to discuss your needs. Please telephone 01760 721 330 or email: admin@sacredheartcps.uk. It may not be possible to offer you a place if the class your child would be entering is already full. Please see our Admissions Policy (below) for more information.
We are able to offer virtual tours of the school with our Headteacher, Mr Blain. Please contact the school office (admin@sacredheartcps.uk) to arrange a tour.
Please note that this year, we have open mornings (09:30-11:00am) on the following dates for any prospective parents to come and visit the school:
Wednesday 23rd November
Wednesday 15th March
Applications for a place in Reception for September 2024 need to be made online by 15th January 2024 to your local education authority. If you live in Norfolk, this will be Norfolk County Council and further information can be found at https://www.norfolk.gov.uk/education-and-learning/schools/school-admissions.
If you wish your application to Sacred Heart to be considered under the religious criteria of ‘baptised Catholic children’, you must also complete the Supplementary Information Form (SIF), which is attached below (or found by clicking here), and return this directly to the school by the closing date of 15th January. Proof of baptism must also be returned directly to the school with the Supplementary Information Form.
An application can be made for a place at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. An application should be made by contacting the school office to enquire about a place and to make contact with the Headteacher.
